The green thread runs through the whole of the Feldmessner, and not just visually. It is not a new thing. We have always emphasised the importance of sustainability. Wherever possible, we rely on ecological alternatives and small supply chains. For the environment, for an intact nature and a future worth living.
Local craftsmanship and sustainable materials such as local natural wood characterise the furnishings at the Feldmessner. We only use local companies for all our refurbishing, thereby promoting regional economic supply chains.
To conserve resources we run our own in-house pellet heating system. Compared to heating with oil, this reduces emissions many times over.
Our photovoltaic system generates most of our own electricity.
Our outdoor pool is only heated in the summer months - using environmentally friendly energy from exhaust air heat. In winter, the pool serves as a plunge pool after sauna sessions.
Holidays without your car! With the free Kronplatz Guest Pass, our guests enjoy free travel on all public transport throughout South Tyrol.
There are two charging stations for electric cars at the hotel.
E-bikes are available for hire at the Feldmessner and there are charging facilities, including for your own bike. Probably the most environmentally friendly way of exploring our inspiringly beautiful Val Pusteria in style!
Our guests can make their own active contribution towards protecting the environment by foregoing daily room cleaning. Towels are only changed on request. We use environmentally friendly cleaning agents and detergents.
The care products we provide contain organic extracts and protect the environment with 100% recyclable packaging.
To avoid buying plastic bottles, there are clean glass bottles in every room that can be filled with good South Tyrolean drinking water from the tap.
The best waste is avoided waste! To produce as little waste as possible, we ensure that all waste is carefully separated throughout the hotel.
Especially with our sumptuous breakfast buffet, we pay particular attention to local quality and fewer food miles. We support local organic farming and source as much as possible from farmers and producers in our neighbourhood or immediate vicinity.
